A train's mobility and utility is hinged on its master engine and passenger cabins. The master engine is controlled by a driver. And attached to the master engine are many buckets or passenger cabins. The master engine and passenger cabins are aligned on the rail track. The train is only seen to be stationary at a station and always ready to move to its next station at a time specified.

THE JOURNEY

Just before the time of departure, the train starts to steam up its engine. The passengers are seated. Sometimes they come in just at the time the doors were going to be shut. Fortunately for them, they arrived just in time.

Off we go, the wheels starts rolling. The horns starts blowing. Nobody goes in, and nobody comes out. It reaches its highest speed after covering 19-20km in distance. If  it has to stop it needs another 19-20km in distance ahead to stop.

The success of a train is determined by its ability to move the passenger cabins and its passengers still on track from one station to another station in time.

I desire to liken the passenger train to a Revival Train.

The master engine is the Holy Ghost. He carries the power (Acts 1:8). He is that living force that holds the world together. For every super natural eruption, he is the one. For every divine unusual manifestation, he is the supply. The power of old and that which still is; the Holy Ghost. He is the representative of the God head. He is that power you cannot box. You cannot define him. His ways are the ways of the wind. In Strength, You cannot match him. No one can handle the flame of His Presence when He makes Himself known. But as powerful as he is, he is yet subject to the Godhead.

At this point, I desire to say God is the Pilot of the master engine (John 16:13).

The Holy Spirit says what he is told to say. And he does what he is told to do. As powerful as he is, he is under God's control. Only God can handle him. Though he is gentle and tough. But God is His charge. He gives the ideas (Gen 1:26). And he gives his direction (Isaiah 45:13). He knows how to go, when to go, where to go.

He is the Pilot on the Revival Train.

I desire to say Jesus Christ, the Word of God, is the rail track. Neither God nor the Holy Spirit can do anything outside him. Sometimes the Pilot directs his wheels on another track, Thereby changing the direction of the train. But the train is still on the rail.

And so it is with God and his word. The direction and the method of God and his Spirit moving on his word might change but that which has not changed is everything done by God is done in Truth. It is done in the premise of His word (Psalm 33:4). His word will never change (Heb 13:6).

As the train moves from the start of its journey, from one station and stops at another station on the rail track, So does God start the fulfillment of his word and ends it on the final dot. As the master engine and the Pilot are immobile without the rail track. So is God and the Holy Ghost immobile without the Word. Though God is  the God-Head, the Holy Spirit is the Power House, they are incapable of doing anything outside the premise of the word.

I desire to say the Passenger Cabins attached to the master engine are ministries whose move is attached to the Holy Spirit and whose fulfillment is placed on the word of God.

Remember the train waited for passengers to come in even though it was still going to leave in his own time. The time it might have declared through signs, post and announcement.

So also the train of revival waits for people to fill the room of the ministry. For what is the essence of a train on a journey without people in it? What also is revival without the people it is released to revive?

A WORD FOR THE CALLED

What are you waiting for? Move into your ministry, GIVE ABSOLUTE ATTENTION TO IT AND FULFILL IT (Col 4:17). In a city, some people know about the train and use it frequently. Many know about it and have decided to use it only when it's unavoidable. And so many other do not know anything about the train. Same applies to the move of God, His Spirit and His Word. Some know about it and have identified with it. Many know about it but due to their belief in reasons and alternatives they have decided never to be part of it. And so many others do not know and have not heard about that wonderful move of God, his Spirit and his Word. For those that know nothing about the move of God. Well, to find the train you need to find two things. The Station and the track. If you find the track first; you might never understand the track. So the track would still lead you back to the station. And who is the station. A positioned believer in a purposeful wait.

As a believer, you ask why you are confronted with situations that seem to keep you in one spot for a season? Simple!

God needs you to wait so that people who have found the track but do not understand its ways would come to you, the station, and clear the confusion. And you are that station. So don’t cry. Though it's painful to see your situation paint the opposition as though he's winning. But take consolation in a purposeful wait to meet someone new to the Revival train.

IS THERE STILL ANYONE COMING?

Well, the train has waited. Is like there is nobody coming in. but if someone comes in on the last counted second, he is still worthy of same service that would be given to those who came in an hour earlier.

Irrespective of arrival time, safe for events that unfolded before the last man came in that he wasn’t part of, everybody in that train is treated equally along the journey. So is the revival train, nobody would be referred to as a late comer. No preferential treatment for early comers either. Everybody in the Passenger Cabin of the train is powered by one, the master engine.
